Product FAQs

How long should I charge my new battery before my first use?

Usually new batteries are not fully charged, so may need to charge them before usage. When starting to use a new battery or after the battery has been stopped using for a period of time, the battery needs three to four full charging cycles to reach its maximum efficiency. Sometimes after charging a new battery for some time, the device indicator light shows that the battery is fully charged, it is normal that the battery is not charged, because the new battery has not been fully charged and discharged yet, and the displayed battery level does not match the time. Simply remove the battery from the device and recharge the battery.

If you do not use the battery for more than a month, it is recommended to remove the battery from the device and place it in a dry, cool place. During charging and discharging, the battery temperature will increase, which is normal. If it’s not used after being fully charged, the battery will naturally discharge, so the battery still needs to be charged when it is stored for a period of time before use. When using a laptop battery for the first time, please discharge it to a minimum of about 5% before fully recharging it.

Can I use my original laptop chargers to charge the replacement battery or can I use my replacement adapters to charge the original batteries?

All of our batteries can be charged by both the original and the replacement adapters when the Watts equal or exceed the original Watts.

Why is there a run-time difference between genuine and replacement laptop batteries?

All of our replacement batteries are manufactured with high quality cells, which may not be the same capacity as that used in original batteries. We aim to provide the best quality and high-performance batteries to our customers, we have adjusted the batteries’internal resistance for more stable and more reliable. As a result, there will be a little bit difference in our replacement batteries run-time comparing with the OEM batteries.

For those who have higher quality requirements, we recommend you to buy our genuine laptop batteries and AC adapters, besides our OEM/ODM service can match what you want too.

How should I store my laptop battery?

If the battery will not be in use for a month or longer, it is recommended that it should be removed from the device and stored in a cool, dry and clean place. Moreover, a charged battery may eventually lose its charge if unused for a long time. It may therefore be necessary to recharge the battery after a storage period (Maybe every 1-3 months ).

Why is the running time of my battery becomes shorter and shorter?

The batteries may be at the end of their lives. Batteries are consumable products. After exceeding the battery life range, the batteries’ charging and discharging efficiency will decline dramatically; therefore, it’s time to get a new battery.

Why is the battery not detected/charged by my laptop?

Normally the battery will be automatically charging when connects to AC adapter unless it’s fully charged, when the battery is not detected by the devices or simply not charge, it means this battery is not compatible with your device, you can ask your sales for further help.
